This partner is a food bank that serves residents within the Paradise Valley Unified School District geographic boundaries, a 98 square mile area in northeast Phoenix, who are in need of food assistance. The food bank also provides weekend food bags to students who attend a Title 1 PV school.
Volunteers prepare food boxes, assist with telephone calls, drive to pick up food donations, and drop off food bags. Volunteers also can help manage school and church food drives. To begin, there is a 2-hour volunteer orientation before getting placed on the serving schedule. They also welcome donations of food and household supplies during their operating hours on Monday-Friday from 9AM-4PM.
