House of Refuge Sunnyslope

This partner provides transitional housing and life-changing resources for men, women, and moms with children. They provide a safe and sober home where the staff and volunteers can love, house, and equip individuals to be restored in Christ and live independent lives. Residents are offered biblically-based resources, community, and encouraged to work.

Volunteers are needed to serve in the following ways:

  • Work with women and children – Share dinner with the residents, or mentor or teach a Bible Study/Life Skill
  • Provide childcare – This allows mothers to attend Bible Study
  • Work with men – Share dinner with the residents or mentor, or teach a Bible Study/Life skill
  • Cooking/food bank - Drive a van to pick up donated food, or sort food, or prepare and serve a meal for 36 men or 12 women
  • Handyman projects, wash vans, cleaning teams, landscaping, help with bulk mailings or sort donations
